Make sure fans are lightweight
Some low-quality premade fans are thick and heavy. That is why applying them places too much pressure on your client's natural lashes, causing premature shedding. So we recommend using premade fans with a diameter of 0.5-0.7mm, which is the ideal width for the best premade volume fans.

Choose the heat-bonded option
Many lash artists claim that the first type of premade volume fan, with the glue, should not be used on clients. The fanned lashes themselves may not be harmful to the client's eyes, but the glue used to keep the fan together adds additional weight to the natural lashes. For these premade fans, the lash artist must apply more glue to the fan in order for it to attach effectively to the client's lash. As the cyanoacrylates cure, this results in a "chunk" of glue that seems rough. The fans then grow considerably heavier than required, and as a result, the excess weight of the collected glue and lash extensions may cause harm.
In fact, for experienced artists, glue-bonded fans are far superior to heat-bonded ones in terms of manipulation. Heat-bonded lashes are only better if the lash artist is unskilled and wants to limit the excess glue. Furthermore, the heat-bonded product will be a preferable alternative if the client's lashes are too weak.
3. Think about the client's eye shape
To select the best premade fans for your clients, evaluate what suits their eye shape.
Almond eyes
With almond eyes, almost any curl will work, so choose this according to the impression your client wishes. This eye shape is an opportunity for you, the lash artist, to use your creative muscles.
Round eyes
Avoid the most pronounced curls, as these might make your client look frightened. Instead, use a looser curl, like a B or C curl, to compliment this eye shape.
Hooded eyes
Avoid tight curls like CC and D curls for these clients since they will curl too much, and the tips virtually merge into the lid, creating an artificial appearance and perhaps pain for the client. Instead, to choose the best premade volume fans for this eye shape, you should consider a curl that reaches over the hood of the lid; this will guarantee the effect is obvious. A specialist curl (L, L+, or M curl) will have a straight base with a gorgeous curl across the extension's midsection and tip. Deep-set eyes
Strong curls with shorter lengths might seem unnatural since the extensions' tips frequently scrape against the brow bone. You should choose slightly looser curls with longer lengths instead.
Downturned eyes
Experiment with a pronounced curl in the outer portion of the eye (from a C to a CC curl, for example). This will give your client a little more lift, much like a lash lift.
